We are barely a month away from the Midland Railway Society’s Annual General Meeting for 2026, which will be held at the Museum of Making in Derby’s Silk Mill on Saturday 18th April.
The administration for the event is going on behind the scenes and today, Thursday, 26 March 2026, our Accounts for 2025 have been signed off by our new Independent Examiners. Society Members can download these by visiting the password protected Members’ area of this site – access details being provided in every Members’ Newsletter.
Also going on behind the scenes – well, actually fully ready – is our outgoing President, John Miles’ Presidential Address. This is titled “The Best Way to Wales” and is sure to be informative, enlightening and entertaining. No pressure there then John! Also, some 12 months away, our nominee for the Society President for 2026/2027, John Tuckett, will be giving a lot of thought to his Address.
Anyway, we hope to see as many of our Members as possible at the event, either in person of online via the Teams link also to be found in the Members’ Area in the run up to the meeting.
